The most renowned NBA rivalry are meeting up again tonight, as LeBron and Tatum match up in Boston. The Celtics have only lost two games at home this season (both this month) against the Clippers and Nuggets. The Lakers, meanwhile, are on a two-game losing streak, and are currently one game under .500. The Lakers’ 24-25 record keeps them in an intense fight with Utah, Houston and Golden State for the bottom Play-In spots in the West.
On the other hand, Boston are comfortably first in the eastern Conference, currently five games ahead of Milwaukee in second. Last season’s fixture was a controversial one, as Boston won in OT, with a foul not being called on a buzzer-beater LeBron drive to the rim. This time around, it should be a more comprehensive win for Boston, and likely not in overtime. The only way the lakers have a chance to win is if AD has a monster game over Porzingis. However, Davis remains questionable to play after being sidelined in the Lakers blowout loss to Atlanta on Tuesday.
Boston are obviously the favourites in this clash (1.15). A good play is Tatum to have 26+ points (1.54), as he’s been on fire especially at home this season. A riskier bet is Boston to win by 11-15 (4.00), as the margin could be slight under or over that.
