We’ve got a repeat of the 2021 Finals in store tonight, as Giannis and Durant face off in Phoenix for the first time. The Suns currently sit in sixth in the West, just a game behind the Sacramento Kings. In the last thirteen games, Phoenix have been on a tear, losing only three games in the past month. On the other hand, the Bucks’ coaching change hasn’t had the desired impact do far, as Doc Rivers has continued his predecessor’s trend. They have suffered three losses in the past four games and face a tough stretch now that includes Phoenix, Minnesota, Denver and Miami.

Milwaukee will be wary of their position in the East, as they’ve been overtaken in second by the surging Cavaliers. If they don’t start seeing results soon, the Knicks will likely overtake them as well, with their season starting to look perilous at that point. They continue to have one of the best offences in the league, but their opposition-points-per-game average of 120 is among the worst in the NBA. The Suns have also not been impressive, as their stats read 12th in the NBA in points-per-game and 15th defence in the league. Their lack of skill in the Center position will be worrying in this game, as Giannis will easily overpower Nurkic.

The real question will be how Milwaukee tries to limit KD, Booker and Beal, as their defence has been leaky all season long. This will likely be a shootout and we expect this game to go Over 243.5 (1.92). A good shout is Booker to score over 28.5 (1.77). The bookmakers give Phoenix the edge in this one, and while I tend to agree, a win for the Bucks at 2.40 is great value for money, as I don’t believe there is a whole lot between these two team at the moment. As Giannis and Durant face off again, who will keep their title dream alive?
