Since then, AC Milan have failed to win, drawing to Napoli and losing at home to Udinese this weekend. On the other hand, PSG have won five straight games, since their huge loss to Newcastle in early October. They have scored three goals in each of those matches, keeping three clean sheets in the process. This is a huge match for both teams. Milan need a result to stay in the race to qualify, and PSG can consolidate top spot with three points.
AC Milan will be happy with the return of some key players for this important match. Among those likely to return to the starting XI are Theo Hernandez, Loftus Cheek and Pulisic. They are still missing some key pieces such as Bennacer and Kalulu, but they are fielding a strong eleven. PSG are also missing a few players, such as Kimpembe, Asensio and Mendes. However, they are playing with what is essentially their staring lineup, including Mbappe upfront with Kolo Muani or Goncalo Ramos. Each right flank will be crucial in this match, where Mbappe will take on Calabria, and Leao will face Hakimi.
Ultimately, this is PSG’s game to lose, as they have been on scintillating form of late, while Milan have disappointed. However, the Rossoneri did go quite far in the last edition of the competition, so count them out at your own peril. PSG are favourites in this one, but a draw would not be a surprise, and would probably satisfy both sides. PSG would still retain top spot (depending on the other game in the group) and Milan would still have a chance to qualify. I highly suggest an Over 2.5, judging by PSG’s goalscoring record and Milan’s inability to keep a clean sheet lately. a 2.33 on a PSG win is also great value for money, if you are confident in the Parisians.
