Another exciting matchup in the NBA tonight as last year’s finalists Miami Heat visit the Golden State Warriors. Both sides are keen to get a win and finish off the year in a positive note. The Heat are in 4th place in the East, but are only one game ahead of the Knicks in 7th. On the other hand, the Warriors sit in 11th and out even of the Play-In spots thanks to their lacklustre first part it the season which sees them come into this clash with a 15-15 record. Green’s erroneous behaviour and Klay’s early struggles have hampered the Warriors, especially early on this season. In Miami’s camp, Jimmy Butler missed out their Christmas win over the 76ers and will not be available tonight either.

However, other players like Adebayo, Herro and especially rookie Jaquez Jr have been stepping up for the Floridians this season. Even though the bookmakers have the Warriors are favourites in this game, I would lean towards the Heat. After all, Golden State’s home record is identical so far to the Heat’s away one, both at 9-6. Miami have been far more convincing defensively, which is why I believe playing them to win, at 2.20, is not a bad shout at all. Who ends the year on a high? Tune in tonight to find out!
