The final regular season NBA meeting between the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers is going down tonight, and we’re all here for it. The Clippers have an overall record of 30-8 against the Lakers since 2014/15. However, this season, the Lakers have won two of the teams’ last three NBA encounters, breaking an 11-game losing streak against their city rivals. The Clippers currently stand 4th in the NBA’s Western Conference. That is just one game behind Denver and three behind leaders Minnesota and Oklahoma City. The Lakers, on the other hand, find themselves occupying 10th place – the last available Play-In spot in the West.

The Lakers are 22nd in rebounds-per-game in the NBA, one of the reasons for their inconsistencies this year so far. They are also a slightly better 19th in opposition-points-per-game with an average of 117.5 conceded each match. Their season has been kept alive by Davies staying healthy, and by LeBron averaging 25/7/8 at 39 years old. The Clippers meanwhile are 10th in the NBA in both points scored and conceded per game. They also have three players averaging over 17.5 points a game (Leonard, George and Harden).

Moving to this particular game, we can’t overlook the Clippers, even though they’ve been a bit more inconsistent these past two weeks. It also would not be surprising if the lakers won again, as LeBron has been on fire when playing the city rivals this season. Recent games have been high-scoring between these two, so we suggest playing an Over 234.5 at a decent 1.90. LeBron to have over 24.5 points is also a good play at 1.92. The Lakers have had a couple days off since playing Phoenix on Sunday, so keep an eye out for them.
