The first ever NBA In-Season Tournament had advanced to the semifinal stage: is a Giannis Vs Lebron clash in store for us? The Quarterfinals were thoroughly entertaining, as teams gave it their all to make the final 4 in Vegas. In the East, Boston was surprisingly beaten by an inspired Pacers side that are making strides this season. In addition, Giannis and the Bucks dropped close to 150 on the Knicks, demonstrating their offensive capabilities. In the West, Lebron defeated Durant in the Lakers’ clash with the Suns. The Kings also lost at home to New Orleans, who will have their say in the regular season if they manage to stay healthy.

This means that we have two entertaining semis to look forward to: Pelicans VS Lakers and Pacers VS Bucks. Lebron James will surely be looking to add this trophy to his long list of accolades. Th Whoever gets the best between Davis and Zion will likely win the game, as AD also had a great game against Phoenix. Both teams have rested for a couple of days, and this is especially great news for the Lakers. They come into this clash as ever-so-slight favourites, simply because of experience at these levels. However don’t count out this young and hungry Pelicans side who, unfortunately, will not be able to call on McCollum.

In the East, this is a fascinating matchup between two offensive machines. The Pacers have the best offence and one of the worst defences in the league. Haliburton has become one of the best point guards in the NBA, while their bench has also been fantastic. The addition of Bruce Brown has added needed experience to a young team. While they are a power to be reckoned with, the Bucks come into this game as favourites, as they have the two best players on the floor. If the Pacers don’t shore up defensively, Giannis and Dame will have a field day.

We therefore predict a Bucks Vs Lakers final in the first ever In-Season Tournament. A Giannis Vs Lebron clash in store for us is probably the best any fan of the NBA could have asked for. But who will take home the trophy?

Lakers to Win – 1.74

Pelicans to Win – 2.15

Bucks to Win – 1.50

Pacers to Win – 2.70
